FAQ

Practical answers about Roblox Luau, allowances and the files you keep.

What does AntiLua support?

Roblox Luau. Files ending in .lua are accepted when their contents are Roblox Luau; other Lua runtimes are not documented as supported.

How many free web builds do I get?

The default web allowance is three successful builds per 24-hour window, starting with your first build. A managed access credential may have its own configured limit.

How do I use the API?

Manage your key in API access and send raw Luau to POST /api/run. The default web-issued API key has five requests per reset period, separately from web builds.

Can I re-download an old build later?

Successful dashboard results are saved in Local build history under Obfuscate in this browser, subject to file size and storage limits. You can open, copy, download or delete them there. This is local browser storage, not server-side history or cross-device sync. Save API results locally from the code field.

Is a build guaranteed to behave exactly like the source?

Test the protected result in the same Roblox environment. Debugging information, source-sensitive behavior and runtime performance can change.

Can I recover my editable source from the protected file?

Keep the readable original in your own version control or backups. Protected output is a distribution artifact, not an editable-source backup.

Does obfuscation make client code impossible to inspect?

No. It adds transformations and protection layers, but it does not replace server-side trust boundaries. Never put private keys or authoritative decisions in client-delivered code.
